Process of elimination -2

Please read previous post

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth

Quote’s influence on me

After my college life I attend more than 10 entrance exams and two competitive exams. Out of that I cleared 7 entrance exams and one competitive exam. Thanks to Sherlock Holmes.

Most of the exams were MCQ(Multiple Choice Questions). I strike around 50% questions with crystal clear and little doubt. Sherlock Holmes and his quote on the process of elimination come to rescue for the remaining 50%.

Out of four options, firs I eliminate the impossibles. Many questions I eliminate the three options.

Some questions I could eliminate only two options. Here comes the second part of the quote. I simply chose the improbable option.

In some questions, I could straightly find out which one is improbable and strike that as the answer.

In this manner I can get around 20-30% of marks.

My knowledge – 40-45% marks.

Sherlock methods – 20-30% marks

Totally I got 65% marks. 65% marks are safest marks in getting qualified in many entrance exams and competitive exams in India.

If possible I explain this with some example questions in next post.

Process of elimiation – 1

I want to speak about two things in this post. One is fictional character and other thing is that character’s influence on me.

But I discuss first thing only on this post. Second will be on tomorrow.

When I was ten, I read the name “Cerlack gomes” on my vernacular language (My mother tongue). I just forget that name within few seconds.

Sherlock Holmes

Few years later, The name “Sherlock Holmes” strike me again on my mother tongue. After that I read some of his stories. Watched some movies based on his character. Then finally watched BBC series on Sherlock Holmes. First two seasons were absolutely brilliant and I’m amazed. Third season is not up to the mark. But I liked Sherlock.

And, I’m one of the Cumberbitches  Cumbercollective too 🙂

I’m addicted to most of the Sherlock’s quotes. I use those quotes among my friends frequently. Some were throw a look at me with the expression “WTF is that?”

Among them, I’m more admired this quote and use that in my life on many instances is,
When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth ~Sherlock Holmes in The Sign of the Four

Batman Logo on Following

This may be very outdated.

So what I witnessed today only.

Today I seen “following” movie once again. I noticed something on Bill’s apartment door. That is Batman logo.

I really doubt that it may not be a coincidence. May be Batman is Chris Nolan’s obsession. Or he had a vision or determine to told the batman story on his own way.

Remember. Qwentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” story was mentioned on Pulp Fiction itself.

One more thing I have to mention here.

In following, there is a character was mentioned by the name “Cobb”. Cobb manipulate the character by his own wishes. Cobb planted ideas on Bill’s mind.

Isn’t it inception’s story?

Oho My God. Leo’s name on Inception is “Cobb”

This Christopher Nolan is really a determined man on his visions.
